What is the best site (or sites) to categorically determine what Roms need BIOS and CHD, and which ones? mamedb.com gives some info but I've not seen a resource that lists the BIOS and CHD's needed for each rom - is there one (or a combo of a couple of sites)?

Doesn't that depend on the Mame version that you are using? Anyway, its all in the mame.xml file. I have a script should be able to extract such information in csv format. I'll give it a try when I get home.

download mameUI , it categorizes the games by BIOS and CHD as well.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Here is the csv file I promised (had to change extension to txt). It contains the following data for each rom (mame 145):

name;disk_name;biosset_name;biosset_description

Note that I only included the first biosset.
