Groovymame Centering and HSize
« on: January 20, 2017, 04:12:11 pm »
Hi guys, I have followed I think all tutorials and I was able to configure all my games resolutions for all emulatores. I have a little problem with groovymame, I was able to center the screen in all games (I think so, I haven't found one that is not centered yet) but some games are getting outsize the screen in the right and left (overscan I believe)

So I followed this line to center the image

15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 288, 448, 576 (original Arcade 15.7 kHz preset)

15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 6.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 288, 448, 576 (edited Arcade 15.7 kHz preset)

I have the same vallues in my ini than in this example. I actually modify mine to 6.000 and all games look centered now...

How do I make the image thinner to avoid horizontal overscan?? (vertically the image is fine)

The problem is only inside groovymame, I corrected all the resolutions for windows and all the other emulators using ArcadeOSD.

Thank you guys!

Calamity

You need to increase both horizontal front and back porch values, by the same amount. That will make the visible area narrower.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
