anyone use xbconnect?

just tried it yesterday and think its a great alternative to xbox live

not only is it free to use but also mod chip friendly

it allows system link games to be played online - select a game host on your PC and by magic it appears as a local system link game on your xbox!

if you got an xbox and cable modem suggest you give it a go!

looks like also works with PSP as well

there is also xlink kai which does similar - but could not get it to work...on startup it hung when serching for orbital servers (whatever that is!)

anyone use xlink and know how to resolve this issue?

I use xlink kai and I like it. I've heard bad things about xbconnect but since I havent tried it personally I couldnt tell you which one is better. Xlink has done evrything Ive wanted.

For a Live alternative, kai is far superior, especially if you have a modded Xbox.

That being said...

There is no such thing as a great alternative to live. Live is well worth its cost.
