6 Player X-Men Question
« on: March 01, 2011, 01:41:13 pm »
I own a giant 6 player X-Men arcade. It was working good then the other day when it is powered up it starts up for about 10 seconds then restarts again then over and over. Does this sound like the power supply is going out? Also where could I look for one. Thanks, Tom

Sounds like a good possibility.

Just hunt for a jamma switching power supply.

Good bet on the power supply.  Check your 5V line RIGHT AT THE JAMMA CONNECTOR with a multimeter.  It should be 4.95-5.05V.  Most power supplies are adjustable using a little potentiometer.  Try to adjust it within this range.

If that doesn't fix it, just replace the power supply.  They're not overly expensive.  Bob Roberts and Happ are probably the easiest places to get them.  If you go with Happ, it's probably a good idea to contact Divermaster127 (he's a Happ distributor) on here as Happ's direct shipping prices are outrageous.

Thanks for the great info! I found one on Ebay and it looks just like mine with the same connectors, Just hope it works when I get it.
