bought Haswell CPU: WinXP-64 + CRT_Emudriver <-VS-> Win7-64 + Arcade VGA 3000?

In http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=135517.0 I read that it should be possible to run WinXP-64 bit on the new Haswell CPU's (socket LGA 1150), since officially there's no driver support anymore for these new CPU's...

Can anybody please confirm this is actually working without any issues?

I know that performance-wise there should not be a difference between 64-bit Win XP/Win 7

I bought a Radeon HD 4650 from ebay, still waiting for Haswell CPU to arrive so can't test yet. I'm about to order an Arcade VGA 3000 as well in the meantime just in case I run into issues... (since the Arcade VGA 3000 has drivers for Windows 7), or is this just a waste of money?

you cannot use the newest drivers with xp64bit, but you can use older ones .  the ones that are made for 2000hd, 3000hd.
you will actually miss a lot of open gl shaders and other features like widi and so on.

and there is a difference in performance between xp and win 7/8 , i would say a huge one, regarding multi-tasking for example.
if you have such a new cpu, i would not recommend xp64 bit anymore, it is a huge performance loss. 3rd gen. intel is the last officially supported processor generation for xp 64bit.
