Torpedo Run!
« on: February 02, 2013, 07:27:00 pm »
Anyone remember this?  I just picked one up on eBay...

My question is this:  On the box, it says "Floor Wars Series", anyone know of any other games to come out as part of that series?  It's a Milton Bradley game, btw.  The box is pretty long, so, not your typical board game.

Is that like a Cannonball Run?

Seriously, though, I remember playing that but not owning it. Any "board" game where you could launch things (Torpedo Run, Crossfire) blew my mind as a child. Which I suppose is true for most boys.

Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

I'm in the middle of an ongoing refurb of a Fireball Island set.  Not floor wars but far and away the coolest boardgame of my childhood.  Can't wait for my boys to be a few years older so we can start throwing down some talismans and try and steal that cursed jewel!

Boardgamegeek only has this game in the database so it might be the only one.  Reminds me of crossbows and catapults with the orange bb's.

All this reminiscing makes me sad I've never played Omega Virus good job old people.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.
