Here is my criteria - I have yet to find a program that suits them all -
1.) Pulse Bill Acceptor Support
2.) Touch screen
3.) Good looking graphics - like touch tunes
4.) VERY simply interface
I have yet to find a program that meets these 4 criteria. If you could please list your suggestions. Thanks in advance to all the replies -

I'd check here first
http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Jukebox_Software (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Jukebox_Software)
Besides, "Very simple to use" is a tad subjective :)
There's LOTS of threads on the boards about juke software. You may want to search about a bit too.

Hi Kyle,
E-Touch may be what you looking for.
But before I tell you why, just remember, most on BYOAC are amateur programmers. They do it mostly for the love of the program and not really in it for the money. To get exactly what you want is going to be a challenge. Sounds like you want a commercial program to go with whatever set up you have but dont want to pay a commercial price (I feel ya!). Most jukebox software is touchscreen compatible as it uses the 'touch' as a mouse click. All the free programs on BYOAC are what they are. Alot of the commercial DIY jukebox software has been abandoned with no plans for an update ever or anytime soon. Some say they are in developement but have been that way for a couple years now which tell me they are abandoned. You need to be a little more specific about your setup to make sure it is compatible with a PC then look at different software choices.
I use E-Touch. It is easy to use after you learn how to use it. Best of all, it is updated almost weekly with many many features added with the suggestion of the users. It is beta tested with select members and the testing results are either added to the final release or it is scrapped! It is purely user driven and looks fantastic. There are a couple E-Touch users that can skin very well and some new skins are coming in the next few days.
Goto www.freeboxjukebox.com (http://www.freeboxjukebox.com) for more info on the program.
btw, E-Touch used to be called Freebox, as you will see that some still refer to it as such!

Fordman, you are more than a just user of ETouch. You should really mention that. ;)
You also failed to mention that freebox isn't free..anymore. Not that $25 is a lot, but full disclosure to a fish on a line would be considerate. ::)
That said, the OP never mentioned anything about cost in his criteria. He may indeed want a commercial program, if he can find one that fits his criteria.
1) Pulse Bill Acceptor; does Etouch support this?
Kyle, I honestly don't know anything about Pulse Bill Acceptor support, but for Touch screen capability and aesthetically pleasing software, if you are going to look at Etouch, also check out Album Player, The PC Jukebox and TouchTrax. A lot of folks on BYOAC will swear by ETouch/Freebox, which is a decent product. Those same people will pan the other programs, but the only real reason I can surmise is because there seems to be no further development on those. Still, decent programs though!
For additional help, perhaps you can add some details such as the purpose of your project. (ie make money in an establishment, personal use at home, build jukeboxes for resale, etc.)
Oh, also, you might want to elaborate on what you've looked into already. As a new poster, people will be less apt to help you if they think you haven't done any of your own homework. :-\

E touch does support coinage and looks like it would support the pulse input as that is nothing but multiple button pushes. It should be noted that the coin in does not function normally unless a commercial license is purchased and the software is validated with a key for a specific computer. I think the cost of the commercial version is about $250 but you would have to check with the site for the most current info on it.

Hey, agree with HanoiBoi...... Please checkout the requirement than he just post the same software again again :), since we all now Fordman is more than regular Touch user. There i s No wrong about that software and I do known there is good support of it, even the commercial version do very costly (understandable).
For my own software, yes even I don't support Arcade Music Box anymore, but I still have its download, since it works as it should with all features wanted and still works as intended. There is since only one bug found and that bug is easy workround-able.
I also did a very basic credits support in MultiFE (which was "extender" from MultiJuke) and does support all requirement, even its some time ago I updated it (no needs and all features is all in). howover I have not any clue how a pulse coin accepted work, which is somewhere a simple plug-in could do that... but if it can send a key input, it should been fine.
Personally, even I my self have created software (but have recently went as musician with some greatflash Nintendo DS projects) checkout the jukebox list.
Please Note, there is also music lisence issues as well for commeriel jukebox.

Thanks for the updates guys - As for what I am using it for - I am making a jukebox project with bill acceptor for private use and potentially commercial. Just thought I would throw one in there from the start that way I wouldn't have to mod it later. I have been looking at e touch - looks like the best out there for what I am wanting - $250 for commercial liscense is a bit steep but would consider if the software truly is that great. Will keep you updated on my progress and build. As for commercial software - is there any expensive jukebox software which we are forgeting to mention in the thread?

About a year ago I tried most of the jukebox software I could find. I ended up paying for "the PC jukebox"! found it the easiest to use, best features and had the best controls for a touch screen (no buttons too close together)! I had to pay $25 I think for a key but I believe there are commercial copies aswell, so not sure about the pulse being accepted. My father has been using it for over a year and loves it!
Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents as I don't think it gets enough mentions on here.

ETouch 100%.... Great program, Great support (and skins)... best $25 i spent on software in a while! :applaud:

Could someone point us toward the skins? I am searching what I believe to be the etouch site, but I only see about 5 released skins for V4. I'm guessing there are more...but where?
Here's where I'm looking: (Freebox Skinsť Skin Releases)

BTW, right now I'm looking at Album Player's skins. I'm really digging the 'Seventy Nine' and 'Jukebox' skins!

Hanoiboi,
once you pay for the software, you will be upgraded to the users area and you will then find the skins.

Oh. ???
I can understand not being able to use them before buying, but is there anywhere to see screenshots of the available skins prior to purchasing?

Here is a shot of a new skin that hasnt been released yet, but should be soon! It may be the new default skin, but that is up to Barry. These only work with V5 and up.

For $25 your getting what one would pay over $100 (easily) for!! plus the dev team rules!

Barry doesnt hide the skins from the general public, but they are available to the E-touch subscribers, just as with any other value-added trinket you buy. The skins are made by the E-Touch community and are all volunteer without compensation. The pics above are 2 un-released skins and they are in beta mode right now, but they should be available once the bugs are worked out and the skin author (Coffee) deems them fit for the masses. There are plenty of skins available to the users that are in the public section of the E-Touch forums, you just have to dig around for them.
Yes, the program is a bargain for the price compared to what others charge for theirs and you get half the functionability and most are reliant on the internet for the album covers and sometimes the music. E-touch is for the stand alone jukebox without being connected to the internet. The forum members are there to help with those that are new and those that might need help, but after a small period of time and use, E-touch is really easy to use.

Not been on here for a while but I would just like to clear this up. Fordman is just a user of E-touch. I am the sole coder and dev of the software an always have been. Lave Lars did give me some help with the album cover code. Yes Fordman has created some tutorials for the site but it's just a forum and he posted them off his own back, i think it's a little unfair to try and label him as a shill.
As for Freebox not being free, V2 is still free and always has been and the name was changed to E-Touch due to people requesting the name change as they believed Freebox was mis leading due to the software no longer being free.
Freebox can be set up for coins just like PCJukebox can be by using keyboard inputs. Try inserting coins when a song transition is taking place on PC Jukebox, it doesn't work. This was one of the many bugs that lead me to code Freebox/E-touch in the first place. I also see he hasn't lowered the price from $39.99 although his commercial version is cheaper, but i would price match it. I have given people discounts before and I dare say I will again.
As for PC Jukebox or Touchtrax neither have been updated or supported in a very long while and both have serious bugs. PC Jukebox appears to have totally removed the forum and i don't think Andy has posted on the Touchtraxx site for a long while. From what I have seen of Album Player it's a nice piece of software, I have not used it fully but it certianly looks nice and the forum seems busy enough.
Sorry if this comes across like a rant it's not supposed to be I just wanted to clear up a few things.

This is due he post about this software on every thread for this kind of topic, and that while some other users have been slapped for it (I think it was Jukebox Simulator, but not sure). Its why its can begin to became annoyring.
I do have to say i have NO against this software at all and you do a decent job, no doubt. I even still have freebox v2 download on my server, and I keept that of course as long you want it.
I also down priority my software a bit, due iPhone and Nintendo DS projects recently, but I still monitor as well.

If you are wiring up to a pulse bill collector, it sounds as if you are building a commercial jukebox. If so, software is the least of your issues; legally licensing such a jukebox (in the US at least) will be nearly impossible.
