I posted this in the Software forum and someone suggested I post here...
I'm trying to config a 3 sided cocktail - I have some gamelists made in MaLa for vertical games that I want rotated 90 degrees - is there a simple way to do this? I don't want to rotate the horizontal games, obviously. Thanks!

James, there is probably a easier and better way to do it, but I have been working on a plugin to work with my mrotate2 program.
You could test it on what you want, just need a dummy mrotate2.exe file which I can send you that would basically do nothing when called.

You could test it, if it works for you, I can probably trim down startcom to do only what you need done.

I may have misunderstood the problem, but Mala's mame configuration has conditional command lines. You could add the -ror for only vertical games. Of course this is only for Mame games.

This seems to have worked. Whenever a vertical game is launched it displays properly. Now I've got to figure out how to make MaLa itself rotate to vertical (-ror) when the end controls are being used but stay horizontal when the long CP is being used (and create separate gamelists). I have a feeling I'm going to need an iPac4 or something since I have the P1 and P2 controls going to the same nodes on my iPac2. I have a lot of software tweaking to do on this cab!

Thanks - I still haven't given up on the rotating monitor for a stand-up I'm building. I hope to get to it before the summer is over but I still have a DK to finish up as well as the juke. I have a feeling once I get into the whole rotating cab thing I'm going to be obsessed until I finish. I'm just happy that a bunch of you guys have it pretty much figured out! So many projects!!!
