Title: GGG Roto-X interface - cable to simplify connection.

Hi Randy,

Your interfaces that include the Rotary Joystick (Roto-X) functionality are good value.  They include a full 40 inputs INCLUDING the rotary function, for about the same price as a competitor's interface that controls the rotary function ONLY.

And your Roto-X functionality also offers the option of customisable timing, which the competitor's interface lacks.

The only advantage of the competitor's interface, is it includes a built-in plug for connecting the Happs joystick (50-5618-00).  This plug makes the installation simpler, as there's no wiring required for the rotary connections - they simply "plug in".

RANDY - I reckon you could easily come up with a cable, having a similar rotary plug on one end ?

It would connect the Happs joystick "rotary connection" to your Roto-X interface :

The plug would look similar to that built into the competitor's interface (which I won't show).

Randy,

Your product having superior rotary capabilities.  It can handle more rotary games than its competitor.  This is vouched for by isucamper, who has experience using both interfaces :


... the GPWiz has rotary capability.  If you want to use it with Happ Rotary sticks, you need to cut off the harness and wire the inputs up directly to the screw terminals per Randy's documentation.  I've done this and it works super.  You even get functionality for a few more games that the Ultimarc interface can't handle (Frontline, Tin Star).



And your interface is better value, given its additional functionality.  It's also a full gamepad interface with 40 inputs.

Yet, DESPITE ALL THIS, people like convenience, and the inability to connect the wiring harness on the Happs rotaries directly to your interface, is hurting your sales.  Your competitor's product is superior when it comes to ease of installation.

There can be no clearer example than jardine.  He purchased a GP-WIZ40 purely for the input capabilites, and the competitor's product for the rotary functionaility.  Now of course, the GP-WIZ40 has its own in-built (and superior) rotary functionaility, so he could have used the GP-WIZ40 to "handle the lot", without even using the competitor's interface.

And yet, he chose NOT to use the rotary functionaility of the GP-WIZ40, and instead use the (un-needed) competitor's interface, purely because of its ease of connection :


Thank you so so much. It recognised the keystrokes in notepad so i guess i don't have to cut off the harness and wire the inputs directly into the GP WIZ40.
