Took me six years, but I ran out of cam locks. So I'm looking to get a big order again.
For those of you who ordered from me before, it'll be the same number key as before.
For those who haven't: these are quality Illinois Lock Company brand locks. double bitted key 1382.
I get them in both 7/8" and 1 1/8" lengths.
And I'll have to find out about price, but I suspect they'll be the same as the last batch I offered: $3.00 each for double.
-
Do you know what size a nintendo cocktail cab would use?

Do you know what size a nintendo cocktail cab would use?
Actually, no; that's a good question. 5/8" maybe?
-
Just bumping for interest. These locks are for coin doors and back doors (or whatever you want, really, but in this hobby these are the most common use).
-
I probably need 5 or 6 myself, just replacing locks without keys on stuff I bought at auction. (If it fits what I have, that is).

Nintendo tables use 5/8" long locks. Keyed alike to key #K6510 Ace style.
-
I need:
3 for Punch-Out
2 for Ms. Pac
3 for 720
I haven't checked yet, but does anyone know a common list of sizes for machines?
-
Over/under coin doors: 7/8" top and bottom.
Midway style coin doors: 1 1/8"
Williams/Asteroids style coin door: 7/8"
Back doors are usually 7/8" (I think).
-
Thanks. That helps out a lot.
So, when are you deciding whether to go through with this?
-
When I have enough people interested to make it worth my while.
And, unlike prior "pre-orders" I'm going to ask for money up front. Last pre-order thing I did I got saddled with a bunch of extra stuff because half the people who wanted stuff flaked on me.
No money yet, though; I would like an interest in at LEAST 100 locks.
-
I need a few....

Figure out lengths and numbers and let me know.
-
Can you get keyless cam locks?
...if so, what's the price? These are GREAT for back doors.
-
I'll see what I can do. For the most part I'm concentrating on regular locks.
-

I've got about half the interest I need, but I'm still looking for people that need locks.
-
It's been a year. I'm trying this again from scratch - anyone need locks?
At this moment in time the prices are:
$3.00 each for double bitted, keyed alike locks.
And for anyone that's bought from me before, it'll be the same key.
-
I will take 3. 2 coin door and 1 back door.
How much to 76135?
Thanks,
Jon
-
It's a preorder. So multiply the number of locks by $3.00. And you'll have to specify length.
As for the shipping cost, I'd like to keep it as low as humanly possible, so I'm going to try USPS 1st class. Shouldn't be more then three bucks or so. Locks are heavy.
-
Single bitted key 700 and double bitted key 1382.
Dumb question....What is "bitted"?
I'm interested...
-
I need one for the back door on my Midway cab, SirPeale.
Keyless would be cool, but if not available, no worries.

Single bitted has teeth on one side of the key, double on both sides.
And I'm pretty sure I'm only doing double. It's not worth the trouble of keeping both around for home use.

Wouldn't be keyless, no. Only the one?
-
I it helps you make your numbers, count me in for 5 or so. I don't actually need them now but I got some from you last time and I like having them all on the same key.

Did you get the double last time, John?
-
Dunno :) I'll have to go look.

If there's teeth on both sides of the key then it's double.
-
I'm in for 5. I'm finally back to working on my cabinet. :)

KagatoAMV, Saint: what lengths?
-
When is the deadline for this? I still need to check mine out.
-
No set deadline, and I'm going to get extras on top of what people want here. A week tops, I think. It all depends on how quickly people get their money to me after I start asking for it.
-
KagatoAMV, Saint: what lengths?
My cabinet has a standard over/under coin door, so 7/8"?

That takes care of two of them, what of the other three?
-
I am suprised that DiveMaster isn't involved in this. I will eventually need cam locks (only 2 of the longer sort) but ATM I don't need them. Have you hit up DM on this? There will always be a market here for cam locks, and I could see him buying a good 50 or so and reselling them for less than the "normal" prices I have seen and still make a profit. (And the "normally" priced ones I have seen go for 7 bucks and do not offer matching keys... :<)
EDIT: When I say "not offer matching keys" I mean they have only lock per lock matching keys, not a series of locks that work with a series of keys...
-
I don't think DM has these locks. These are Illinois Lock Company brand locks.
The good news: I think the price is going to come down a wee bit. I'll know more when I can get a finalized amount.

Oh sorry, 7/8" for all 5, I'm pretty sure I can use the 7/8" for the back door (it doesn't have a hole yet) and the other two are meant to be extras.
-
I'd like to grab 5 of each.
-
What model lock? C625? Will it come with a straight and offset cam?
-
What model lock? C625? Will it come with a straight and offset cam?
It only comes with a straight cam. I /think/ it's a C625.
-
I will take 4 for a neogeo MVS Cabinet. I need one for the coin door and the coin collector door and two for the top of the cabinet were the speaker are located. Let me know if those lock will work with it please
-
question.. how do i measure to find out what size i need?
is it from nose to tail? or do you measure only the threaded part or what?
-

Obviously it's up to you, but I wonder if it would be better or easier to just offer 7/8 locks and have them come with a straight and offset cam. Then the user has the option of using it as a 7/8" lock or a 1 1/8" lock or even a 5/8" lock. Also, you would only have to buy 1 size lock and it might be easier to stock or make your minimum purchase. Thoughts?

That would involve getting the separate cams. I can see if I can get the offsets, but the place I'm purchasing them from has assured me that regardless of length I can still get the quantity discount.

You measure the threaded part, yes. Over/Under doors, Coin Controls doors (like you'd find on a Williams Classic cab) take a 7/8" lock. Midway doors (Pac-Man, Galaga, etc) take a 1 1/8".
I will take 4 for a neogeo MVS Cabinet. I need one for the coin door and the coin collector door and two for the top of the cabinet were the speaker are located. Let me know if those lock will work with it please
The coin doors are easy - 7/8" (over/under, correct?). I believe the upper ones are 5/8", and I wouldn't replace them if you already have them. Keep that key in your coin door. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I about Neo Geo cabs will speak up...
-
I don't have the key to them. I just obtain the cabinet less then a week and also the locks are busted on top part. i am going to unscrew them today.

Measure them, they're measured by the threaded part. I think they're 5/8". I can see if I can get a couple of them while I'm @ it.
They also might be special because don't they have a lock bar or some kind of hasp? It's been a while since I worked on a Neo Geo cab.
Pics are handy.

Could use (2) for my Gauntlet Legends cab. Should be Wells-Gardner Part #891-0547-00 double D cam lock. Over/Under two entry coin door. Can't measure the size, 'cause it came with no locks at all installed! Can't find the dimensions for this part # online either. Would it be a 7/8" length? Door thickness appears to be 3/4" and where it shuts, the frame is close to 1" thick. ??? What do you think?
-
As I stated above, over/under doors take a 7/8" lock. I've never seen one that has not, anyway.
-
You can put me down for 12. One of my candy cabs needs 7 locks alone!
I'll get you all the sizes if this order goes through :)
-

The order is going thru. I need those sizes!
-
Glad to hear it :applaud:
Will measure and get back to you tonight. Thanks!
-
You can mark me down for 2 - 7/8th
-
Thanks Sain.
I've had several people ask me about 5/8". I'll find out.

Any word on when you think you'll place the order?
I'm thinking very soon. I've had the number I needed for a while now, but people keep asking about them, so I've put it off. Those numbers have dwindled now, so...
Anyone else? Last chance.
-
The good news: I can get 5/8" locks.
The bad news: They won't have the same key as the 7/8" and the 1 1/8" ones. But all the 5/8" will have the same key within themselves.
Also: no offset cams available. Sorry.
So: consider this a GO. I'll be contacting those interested shortly with a total. Please pay promptly to not hold others up.
-
Sending you the payment for (2) 7/8" locks right now (for Gauntlet Legends over/under door set). Thanks!
;D
-
I have now PM'd everyone that contacted me either via PM or in this thread with a total and a Paypal address. Even if you can't pay right away, please respond.
-
Nearly everyone has paid. Order will be placed Monday.

Thanks for the help. ;D

Received the locks yesterday. I'll be boxing over the weekend. I've got like 30 orders to fill, so it'll take me a while.
-
Excellent. Thanks for going through with this.
-
Despite my best intentions to get things packed up this past weekend, and every day since then, I've had one Real Life(tm) problem after another stack up. However, today my assistant and I (my four year old) have been diligently packing up orders. Those I've already gotten to have probably received a Paypal notification about it. Those I haven't will be done shortly.
-
Hello,
Just wondering if you still have enough locks for new orders. I only need 1 7/8" lock.
Any idea on shipping costs to Illinois?
Thanks
-
Check my store.

I'm afraid shipping isn't too pleasant though.

Got mine today ;D. Whohoo :D
These are nice.
Thanks,
Jon

Got mine - thanks!
-
I checked my mailbox this past Saturday, and someone by the name of "Peale" was kind enough to ship me some locks for my Gauntlet Legends game! They fit and work perfectly... wow, how nice of this complete stranger. Wonder how he knew I needed them? Good job! :lol
-
I still need mine! :dunno

Sorry about that - you slipped under the radar. I dropped your lock in the mail today.
