I recently picked up a Pole Position Upright with a go7-cbo in it,
i believe its a 13" monitor.
I didnt really expect anything in it to work, but the monitor shows the most promise.
When I fired up the machine nothing really happened, but i heard the monitor come on, and after waiting for a minute or so i was able to see 3 dots in the middle of the screen, now I'm somewhat color blind, but I believe they were red green and blue.
With some minor knowledge I inspected what I could without yanking the thing out of the cabinet, I noticed, pardon me if Im calling things the wrong name, the top of the Width Coil, where you would adjust it, i presume, was missing, but it was still all coiled together. There is also a crack in the Flyback, but it wasnt on the white part, it was on the 'bar' on the outside of it... sorry, i dont know what to call it...
To make sure it was getting a signal, I hooked it up to a game I know to be working.
Any help would be appreciated. :)

Pole Position would have a 19" not 13" monitor.
Since you don't know the history of this particular monitor, here's what you need to buy:
Capkit
Width coil
Flyback
That should get your monitor running.

Yea, its definitely a 19"... dont know why i thought it was 13"...
Anyway, I'll try that, Thanks!

Before you spend some dough on the monitor, are you getting game sounds, can you coin it up and hear the game working? Is there any indication that the game itself works? PP boards are notorious for being dead and can be a major PIA to fix. Also PP boards are major power hogs and burnt connections are common, keeping the game from running.
When you checked to make sure it was getting a signal, do you mean you tested the monitor with a known working game, or do you mean you plugged a known working monitor into the PP to make sure the game works?

I tested it with another game, I cant really expect the PP to work straight out...

you can bump up the brightness on the flyback and check for rastar lines...

And Bob Roberts has all of this in one handy and pretty affordable kit:

while doing the cap kit dont forget to do the sync upgrade...and reflow the input molex pins..

Ok, here is the scoop...
You have high voltage.
What you have is no deflection,
3 dots in the center, turn the screen/G2 down or you will burn the tube.
Check to be sure the yoke, is plugged in really sounds that simple.
Good luck
