Can I have just the game name show up in Mala instead of the full ROM name? I really don't need to know what version or revision it is or if it's a playchoise game.

Yep use the malagamelist.exe
Some things such as items in brackets can be taken out in bulk automatically
-
I was using this again today and I can't seem to get it to save the names in my favs list.
-
You can remove the brackets and versions very easily... Right click, Options, Game Lists (upper tab), then select a game list, use the lower options tab (right above the list), Edit Game List, and you'll have text at the top that says Gamelist with all the naming options when you click it.
It sounds like a lot of steps, but it's actually very easy when you navigate through the dialog boxes.
-
I can remove them but its not saving them for some reason or updating the list I have.
-
It may sound like a stupid question, but you are making sure to click "File" and "Save", right?
If so, make sure your emulator is setup properly, and I guess if that doesnt work make sure that no files are set to "read-only" in windows...
-
I bet its the read only thing, I will have to check that.
-
was set to read only and umm saved to the wrong location, my bad

I'm sure MaLa will forgive you.... in time :laugh2:
Thanks for your honesty..
Too many slam software first before they check to see if it is human error. :D

it was MaLa's fault, it should have told me that it was saved in the wrong location, isn't that what the speech plug-in is for :laugh2:
