I bought this off ebay but I guess I should have checked to see if it came with a mounting frame...which it didn't.
-
I mounted a coin door without a frame and it works just fine.
Dig it?

Before you mount it you may want to buy her dinner first, maybe even a movie. ;)
Seriously though, If you are good with a router looks like you could cut an appropriate size hole for that door and use some long screws (pilot hole first) to mount it.
-
Hmm...and you don't worry about it ripping out of the MDF with the screws being so close to the edge?
-
I wouldn't worry about it at all, 3/4" MDF is tough stuff.
Use washers on the back.
Maybe if you remove the coin door guts you can place it flush against the material and trace it. Then match it with hole saws and jigsaw, or router with straight cutting bit.
Good?

Well, if you go with the way spystyle did, no. You will be bolting it through the mdf. If you want the hinge to be mounted to the edge of the mdf, maybe. Depends how often you want to open it up and yank on it. Mount it the way spystyle did and no worries.

man, that was the coin door I was bidding on a few weeks ago ;) at least it went to a fellow BYOACer :D
-
Well...if we were both bidding on the same item, I'm glad you didn't go too high. I had just gotten outbid on a couple other coin doors and I REALLY wanted this one (since I have a 4 player cab)...and I'm already way over "budget". :)

LOL, yeah, I didn't want to pay more than 50.... plus I haven't even started mine yet :P
