Title: How to Interface SNK LS30 Joysticks in the Year 2019
Post by: ZaneMn on March 04, 2019, 10:50:35 pm
Hello all,

It's been many years since I have on this board but I am back in need of help.

I have two LS30 joysticks I need to interface with my PC.

I was using the Rotary Interface from Ultimarc but it no longer works and it seams I can no longer order it from Ultimarc.

Are there any other solutions?

Thanks!

I was using the Rotary Interface from Ultimarc but it no longer works and it seams I can no longer order it from Ultimarc.

Are there any other solutions?
- Ultimarc U-HID (http://www.u-hid.com/home/index.php) or U-Hid Nano.  (four diodes per stick, wire them like this (http://www.u-hid.com/appnotes/AN1001.pdf))

- GGG GP-Wiz40 with Rotary Support (https://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=76_81). (ECO or MAX)

- KADE miniArcade 2.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,154126.0.html) firmware, if you'd like an inexpensive way to "roll-your-own".
-- One MattairTech MT-DB-U4, Teensy 2.0, or Arduino Micro AVR will handle both sticks.
-- You won't be able to use an Arduino Pro Micro for both sticks because port C7 (Rot. 2B) isn't connected to a pin on the board.
-- Rotary stick wiring details are on page 9 of the User Guide.
