I have my desktop, monitors, fan, etc. All hooked up to a squid. I wanted to hook it up to a single power switch, so I bought this: (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161005/0034dce81ee1f40e6d5abeaab70cc85e.jpg)
However, the back isn't a normal outlet, it's this: (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161005/98de1e7a836ca640f31a3a78e66459e0.jpg)
I don't even know what this is. Is there a converter I can get or what do I do?

Nope, it's just terminals that you solder your wires to. There are some diagrams for this exact switch somewhere on the board though. I'm at work right now or I'd go digging - probably on the wiki though.
-
Search The Little Ms Pac-Man thread. There should be a photo in there.

The new wiki page is still down, but wayback machine was able to bring it up:

Check under the section that says, "4-Tab Switch". Pics below from the wiki.

Did yours come with a fuse? I know some don't so double check.

Nice photo, Unstupid.
Mind if I add it to the wiki when Saint gets it running again?

Fine by me.

So I need to cut the power strip and connect these individual wires to their respected sockets?
What are the pink things that hold it together called?

The things on the end of the wires are female spade crimps or quick disconnects.

Yes, cut off the wall plug and crimp on 1/4" (0.250") female Quick Disconnects. (QDs)
If you have un-insulated QDs like the ones in Unstupid's picture, consider using heat shrink to minimize the chance of accidental electrocution.
Make sure you have both good mechanical connections (QDs won't twist free) and good electrical connections (<2 ohms) BEFORE you try to run power through it.
Why is it important to have clean, corrosion-free, mechanically-solid and low-resistance power connections?
Badmouth shows why here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,137097.0.html) and here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,119308.msg1414637.html#msg1414637).

P.S. Just noticed that your power switch is turned 180 degrees compared to Unstupid's and the example in the wiki.
The narrower-spaced tabs A and C are the input side.
The wider-spaced tabs B and D are the output side, where the lamp is.
If you use tabs B and D as the input side the lamp will be on whether the switch is open or closed.

This arcade is for my parents (dual screen cocktail machine, I'll be making a video of it soon, almost completed) and I don't want to burn their home down, so instead I got pic related from Amazon for a few dollars, used a black sharpie and colored it in.

I know it's a kind of cheating, but it looks good and I don't have to trust my wiring skills

I was planning on using this thread to wire mine but the back of mine is short a pin. Any suggestions?

Looks like mine, hope these pix from Alpha-Too help:

Black is (H)ot or (L)ive
(N)eutral is White
(G)round or Earth Ground(EG) is Green
-
Alway use a multimeter (on continuity) to test it.

Use the 3-Tab Switch wiring directions.
https://web.archive.org/web/20141104034659/http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Wiring#3-Tab_Switch (https://web.archive.org/web/20141104034659/http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Wiring#3-Tab_Switch)

Use the 3-Tab Switch wiring directions.
His plug wires are clearly labeled on the back.
-
Ok so does this look right?
-
Ok so does this look right?
Yes, assuming that the on/off part of the switch (tabs 7 and 8 ) are the upper left in your pic.
Just to be sure, verify with your multimeter that you have continuity when the switch is on and an open when it is off.

Alright thanks for the help guys. I will post pics of my house burning down on Friday. If not I might just update my build thread then.

I will post pics of my house burning down on Friday.
To avoid that scenario, here is some rough-draft text that I'm planning on adding to the wiki once it is back in action.
Power wiring safety checks
It is important to have clean, corrosion-free, mechanically-solid and low-resistance power connections.
Make sure you have both good mechanical connections (QDs won't twist free) and good electrical connections (<2 ohms) on all three lines from the wall plug to the power strip outlets BEFORE you try to run power through it.
Remember to only measure resistance (ohms) when power is disconnected from the circuit or you will damage your multi-meter.
If only a few strands of the power cable are making contact with the terminal, the connection will still ohm out OK, but those strands will have to carry the entire electrical load over that narrow connection.
This can lead to a vicious cycle where the current flowing through that narrow connection generates heat which causes the wire to corrode which increases the connection resistance which generates more heat . . .

The good news is my house didn't burn down. The bad news, I updated my build thread...
For closure I here are the pics.

Unrelated, but where did you get the speaker mesh covering at?

I never mentioned it in my build log but is pulled them off some house speakers from a record player and cut them with some tin snips.
-
Related ;D, where did you find the blue rocker switch? I've only run across the red or green variety.
-
Ebay. It's the only one I saw. There may be more. What they don't tell you is that the led is orange, so that's kinda lame.
-
Meh, yeah that wouldn't work. Thanks for the reply and the heads up!
