Hi Everyone - Im looking for some suggestions regarding a bottom mount joystick. Its underneath 3/4 wood so needs to be a longer shaft - any thoughts? - I dont want to route.

What type of games? General? I liked the Happ Supers I played on at Zapcon.

you can also get Zippyys which are knockoff Semitsu LS-32's with the long shaft for wooden panels at a great price from Randy at GGG.

Is the CP already made ? Reason for asking is if it is not you could always make the CP using 2 pieces of wood (1 - 1/2" and 1 - 1/4" thickness) to create the 3/4" CP and then that way you could cut out a piece of the 1/2" and just use the 1/4" piece for mounting to rather than mount 3/4" deep (easy to cut out a rectangle using a jigsaw and then place the 1/4" panel over that with just the hole for the joystick handle) glue the two pieces together and let dry and not have to route.
I would suggest this so that the feel of the joystick is correct ( the longer the handle the more the top of the stick has to be moved )

Suzo 500. It might be my favorite 8-way, smooth in all regards. You might need to make your hole a little bigger.
