I love that Ryobi. Most of your cabinet building bits are specialized and have to be ordered. My slot cutter was about $20, Porter Cable 3/16. And don't forget a flush trim bit. Make sure you get one at least an inch cutting width. Also when you order make sure you get the same size arbor as your router (1/4 in). A 50 kit of common router bits is a great investment. You'll find yourself doing all kinds of stuff around the house with the router. I drill my button holes wit a hole saw. I haven't had any problems with plexiglass yet.

Ok, some people have to learn the hard way.   Listen to matt.

Groovygamegear.com has the t molding bit.  It depends on the depth of you t molding I think.

My experience with the hole saw in mdf, even in plywood was it is necessary to make sure the dust is cleaned out so the glue doesn't gum up too much.

Lastly,  I've read the Forster bit is were it's at.  I have yet to invest in one.

You can find quality Forstners cheap on eBay. That's the way to do it.

It shouldn't, but it will get REALLY dusty/dirty and could stick to the paint. I'd do it BEFORE painting.

The T-Molding slot cutter is selected according to the width of the part of the t-molding that goes into the slot.
T-molding.com, and I am sure other sites, show a drawing and tells what width the slot cutter needs to be for the t-molding you are using.

I always cut the slot with the router first, then stick cardboard (thickness of cardboard close to the width of the slot, but a little less, so it doesnt fit tight), in the slot before painting.
Before the paint dries, I slide the cardboard back and forth then remove it.
Cardboard keeps paint out of the slots.
Getting paint in the slots is a big PITA later when you insert the t-molding, and should be avoided at all costs.
Of course if you are using laminate and not paint, you would apply the laminate first, then cut the slot.

When you order, ask them to send some samples of their inventory. That way you can play with different colors in the future and know exactly what  color you want to order.
