Title: multi-coin HS-616
Post by: jackiabu on January 24, 2014, 09:19:50 am
HI

Today a friend brought me COIN UP. I want to connect it to one of my machines. And pass through MAME.

According to what I read on the site of http://www.ultimarc.com/controldiags.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/controldiags.html)  Zener Diode need to connect to pass through the IPAC. And  that  for the IPAC will not be damaged.

i have no Zener Diode ,Perhaps because it was connected to the original arcade  machine :-\

My question  what Zener Diode type should I buy? What voltage of Zener Diode?

The IPac runs on 5v, so you'll need a 5v zener diode.

Details and a part# link in this (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,122129.msg1296453.html#msg1296453) thread.

Remember that the band on the zener diode goes toward the coin signal line (reverse biased), NOT toward ground.
