I'd be happy if I was back home, instead of being stuck in stupid soggy Britain. :hissy:

Hit 111° F here in Sacramento the other day. My workshop is melting, literally, all of my flux is melted......
Can't work for more than 20minutes in there without sweating like I ran a marathon.

I'm in Sacramento too. The A/C in my garage can't keep up with the heat, so my pinballs and arcades are getting neglected. :( :hissy:

Howdy fellow sacramentoianinan!
I just got back from the Cal Expo fireworks display. It was nice, but they are getting cheaper and cheaper every year with the grand finale ..... :(

 Thanks! Just got back from taking the kids to see the fireworks. Perfect weather. Ate cheese curds, drank root beer, smoked a Churchill cigar.
I love the 4th. 8)

Sure my home town usually gets to 120 F in the shade easy this time of the year.
Where abouts in California?
I'm from Whitter originally. ;D

Beautiful here today, yesterday and for the week ahead!
I guess there is a solution to your "stupid soggy Britain" problem!

America & England are the closest allies in the world. I spend time in England & did a loan to the RAF, the RAF is top notch

America and Canada are actually the closest allies... :)
-
Just a opinion, I have worked with both militaries
-
Gotcha. Military-wise, Britain definitely out classes Canada. We don't have a vast, nor advanced military unfortunately. But outside of war-time alliances, Canada and the US have the most symbiotic relationship, greater than all other countries out there. We're in the history books!

Thanks for that.

It's true, Canada military is sad. As a fairly patriotic Canadian, I'm not delusional in that fact. I think our navy is still using WWII subs that we bought off Britain a few years ago. Shoot, we're still rocking the F-18's from the 80's for christsake...there are plans to upgrade to F-35's though.

Canada doesn't need a world class armed forces. Almost the entire population is right up against the US border. From an American military perspective invading a Canadian city is basically the same thing as invading an American one. An invasion of Canada is both a threat on American borders and a threat on American oil interests. Plus the rest of the world loves Canada in a way that they don't love America or the UK thus support from the rest of the world would flood in.
