Status:  Complete - starts on pg 3 or 4 of the now defunct NRFT build.  Got completed as a standalone projector enabled gaming rig then decided he was much better service liquid gold (hence the name change to R2-AU - that and he roots for Auburn!).  Status update 2017, removed kegorator but kept the bluetooth sound system, now lives in my sons' room as they just redid to Star Wars theme.  Coolest kids on the block with a 1:1 scale R2-D2 in their room!

Front Ends:

I've done a lot of work towards getting a fun frontend that looks good on space themed flight sim cabinets (Star Wars, star fighter, etc) into the community with the help of Arximidis and his awesome HTML FE.  Check out where we are at so far: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,137291.msg1451631.html#msg1451631 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,137291.msg1451631.html#msg1451631)

Thanks!  The Field family coat of arms helped inspire the art. It was a fun but quick build. Wish I could have spent more time on it. I'm happy and the client loves it so that's all that matters tho.

The original plans can be found here. (http://www.koenigs.dk/mame/WeeCade_plans_1.0.pdf)  Also Le Chuck has mentioned that if you Personal Message him he will send you the artwork.  Thus giving you some of the dimensions.

Fact.

Not yet, I need to clean up the character lighting on the Melee Island nightscape marquee (day lighting on Guybrush and Elaine) and get it printed for my gameroom wall.  Someday somebody will build it.

Sorry if this is an old thread but that R2 is a piece of art.  :applaud: Do you have build notes on this somewhere? I would love to read more about it.

R2 build starts with this post: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,121700.msg1325229.html#msg1325229 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,121700.msg1325229.html#msg1325229) and pretty much occupies the rest of the thread.  I decided not to go through with the rest of the build because my co-builder unexpectedly passed away and I just didn't have the drive to finish the project myself.  R2 was in the works tho and I was quite sure for a long while that after R2 I'd be ready to tackle the rest of the speeder project.  Didn't pan out that way.  After using R2 in R2-EMU mode for a while I determined he'd be better served as my kegerator and he gets much love from all who meet him and sample his fine golden brews.

 I can't hold a candle to your pen and ink work man, I've always fell down on the 2D stuff IMO, wish I could bang out original material like you so I appreciate the kudos from another artist!
