No matter what options I set in the Game Collection options, it will not add Donkey Kong to the game list. Mario Brothers is also not adding. I'm sure there are others it won't add, but haven't attempted to inventory every game it isn't adding.
Any ideas? Highly frustrating. :badmood:

Add Ghosts & Goblins. Argh.

I had this happen. I reinstalled MALA in another directory and then transplanted the newly generated gamelist to the old directory. Never figured out why it did it.

Just tried this, and it didn't work. Thanks, though.

Would this thing help?

at least you could go in and manually add those games using this tool.
I've only ever created gamelists with external tools and kept mala out of it. the above and romlister can make lists that work in mala so you could end-around whatever this problem is.

Are you sure your roms work for your version of MAME?

Yep. I'm running the newest version of mame and I've successfully tested the ROMs that aren't adding.

Thanks, I'll definitely try this.

MYSTERY SOLVED, I BELIEVE.
When Mala was generating the mame.xml file for the first time I prematurely closed the command line window that opened and that wrecked my mame.xml.
Good to know!
