Title: jamma to monitor question

Hi

New to the board. I have a CA&G monitor model number VI 2500 . I have a jamma loom bought to connect up buttons pc etc. The connection on the monitor board has 6 pins but the jamma connector has only 5 can there be an adapter bought to connect or have I bought the wrong  loom. I have attached pics as someone might be able to help

use hs(horizontal sync)-white wire
the chassis has the standard connectors found on hantarex monitors

I'm pretty sure you just tie pins 5 and 6 together on the chassis but someone more knowledgeable than me should confirm this.

you can but normally it just uses the h.sync

on that page you need RGB lead (6 way green plug) complete with wires. Used. £4.20 HAN012

thanks grantspain very much for your help on this, so all I do when I get that lead is join up the wires and leave the vs pin free?

Will a 5 pin jamma connector work on a pc crt vga connector? I have an Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade and want to get a new monitor. So.... will a standard pc vga monitor work?

No not without and adapter that converts CGA to VGA.
