Title: xbox1 no dvd drive, is it posible?
Post by: abispac on October 31, 2011, 12:40:36 pm: Hello, i have an old xbox 1 that i would like to turn into a dedicated bartop arcade or full cab,i got the xbox to jamma dongle, it works just fine. Im trying to add a second hard drive to the xbox, i recalled some one had remove the dvd drive and added a second hard drive , but when i do this i get the error 12 screen , cant seem to find that topic to see how the guy did it. Can anyone help? thanks alot.

Post by: Jammin0 on October 31, 2011, 12:56:52 pm: The typical way to do this is to remove the 8-10gig original drive and replace it. I wouldn't worry about keeping the original drive around because you don't need it. Even if you are able to get it to run 2 different drives, it won't be any less work then replacing the stock drive.

I don't think there is a way to remove the drive. If anyone has done it and documented it, you can find it on the forums section of xbox-scene.com.
