I am looking to buy a Happ Universal Video Converter. This is the device that will take almost any VGA input and output to either standard arcade or to medium resolution arcade, which is what I need it for.
I do NOT want an ArcadeVGA card, but thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks,
Jeff

Wouldn't an ArcadeVGA do the same thing at less than half the price??
-
No. I have a MEDIUM resolution monitor. The ArcadeVGA does NOT support that.
But thanks for trying to look out for me.

Not quite true anymore ... support is limited (details in the thread), but ...
Incidentally the new card also supports 25Khz for multi-sync monitors.
Cheers

That's all fine and dandy, but I don't want to hook this monitor up to a computer, hence the reason for the UVC.

I was responding to the specific statement you made ... never said it would help you.
EDIT: Added in old post to avoid further pollution but also to avoid misleading those who run across this in a search ...
It looks to me like it supports the Medium Resolution output on multisync monitors only. There is no mention of true fixed frequency medium resolution monitors.
So if you connect a 25k-only monitor, there would be no boot screen and you would be able to use ony two of the resolutions in Windows. This is not really a limitation of the card, but of a 25K monitor.
Sorry to pollute your thread, but you keep saying things that aren't quite right and someone is going to find this in a search and be mislead. It would have been much easier if you had just said "I can't use an ArcadeVGA" in the first place since the reason you can't use it is unrelated to the misinformation you posted about it.
MODS: Feel free to remove my responses to the incorrect info, but please remove the incorrect info as well. Then the thread will be nice and neat.
Cheers.

However, I don't really care. This thread was put here to see if anyone had a UVC for sale. Not to debate the ArcadeVGA's coolness factor.
