Defineables question for use w/ non-Mame Emulators
« on: December 10, 2009, 11:32:18 pm »
I'm currently working on a NES layout and I am using the Marquee box for Cart images, the snaps for the screenshots and the control panel box for Box art. Which means I've used all of the image boxes available to me according to the Other Emus dialog box, since I can't use the videos box as a makeshift image box...

I was planning on also using title screen images, but it seems that definable content for other emus layouts doesn't seem to work for non-mame emulators. I tried setting my definable paths to point to the folders, but it doesn't seem to be working for some reason.

If I am missing something, any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Attached is the plan for my NES layout. I stole the Xbox 360's "New Xbox Experience", I thought it was fitting since the project I'm planning on using this for will be a kind of "new NES experience". ha

That should work?

I have used and tested it

Are you using the beta?

Nope I'm using 1.05 I believe. I'll download the beta tonight and see if that does anything. Thanks Loadman

I downloaded the beta of 1.62 and noticed the addition of the definables tab on the Other Emus section of the option menu. I also loaded up the original version of Mala I was using to make sure I didn't happen to "just miss it" when I was looking over options. But now the definable boxes work! and here is the result of tonights work on the frontend.... Now it's off to the bar!

I might add a 5th Definable

I've only used 1 of the definable boxes myself. Right now, from my experience with MaLa, I think including the CP, Marquee and Snap boxes, and the 4 definable boxes... that's a lot of content already. I'm not sure that a 5th would really be needed... then again, you never know. =)
