All my layouts are 16:9. Of course you need to like them. I made them since I could not find just one finished one on the Mala site that I liked. But maybe it's the same the otherway around, people are very selective when it comes to frontend Graphics. That's why I'm a big speaker for flexible frontend editors. I have 67 different layouts in a matching style. Each gaming console, arcade machines and and a few consoles with terminals (personal computers),(these will there be made more of). Also I'll happly make a special layout for a user without charge. I'm also gonna implement some gif movemet in the upper banner, but right now there can only be one gif In Mala so I'm waiting for at least two, possible four in an editor update. The style of the graphics are a sort of 1980-85 type to match the cabs I like, but it could fit an 1995 Street Fighter cab just as well.
They are in 1280 x 800. They are also found in a converted version, in 1600 x 1200 (4:3) for PC screens 22" and up. (These 4:3 are very cheap second hand now, but very rare since the price 10 years ago was extremely high. We are talking 3000 us $ in 1995. Photographers and magazine layout people used them as the colors were in a total other league quality-wise, compared to the colors of the first LCD screens. There's allways one 22-26", or possibly bigger?, CTR monitor for sale in your area I bet. I got one for 30 US $ including delivery to the door! They fit very handsome into the place where the old TV monitor used to be in the cab. But for my own cab i use a LCD/LED 16:9 24''. The problem with these LCD/LED's are that if as small as 24" (and 24" is really the smallest possible to use due to the games that use vertical, screen picture), the screen pic's gets so small that you loose the cab feel. Some would say you use the cabinet feel with an LCD altogether, but that's individual finesmeckerei.
My layouts are fixed size. They have for the most a video window, a title window, a gamelist, and the following text info: Game name, Game company, Year, Controllertype and a realtime clock. Then some don't have the Title + Video window, but only one window that could be video or stillshots. Still again some have also windows for covers (like Sega 32X, Sega Dreamcast). This difference between the different layout's are due to what cab be found out three of collections. Some i made myself. It too time...
I'm not someone how protects my work, if you need a collection of covers or somethin g to use in the frontend layout you can get it from me. No prob.
Cpanel will be added later on. Marquee is not possible with my huge collection.
See the Attachment for a slightly compressed pic of 4 layouts in on picture. Send a personal message to me if you are interested in getting them including a handling guide.
