Well the Bio Gun doesn't use USB. It uses a combination of keyboard and mouse PS2 ports. To work with MAME it must support mouse emulation. Neither of these really say whether they do or not. They sort of dance around the issue. If the Bio Gun does support mouse emulation, though, it only supports 1 gun because of the methosd of connection. This other gun with the USB may support 2 mice. Both guns work in games that I think would typically require mouse emulation, but they don't mention what operating systems are compatible or anything. So we are left with a bunch of maybes. Both are cheaper and better-looking than the Act Labs guns, though. |

Well I did some research on the Act Labs gun, and I'm pretty sure that both of these other guns will work. (That's not a 100%, though.) However, the Bio Gun (my favorite of the two) will only support one player. This other more generic one could possibly support 2 in Win98. |

You could try posting a question on the FAQ section of Lik-Sang's website. However I did this for one of their products (VGA adaptor) a few months ago and it was ignored. One of the FAQs suggests that the gun won't work with MAME. However it was posted some time ago (4/12/2002) so it might be worth asking for an update. |

I don't see how it could support both hotd1 and hotd2. That's risky business ordering one. How about you get one and tell us how it turns out! ;D |
