PS3 Wireless fight-stick

Just finished a PS3 wireless stick build for a buddy of mine.  It's a simple design, no frills.
I left it art-less since he's going to be creating his own artwork to be printed out. I'll take pictures of it when he gets that done.

The box is made out of MDF, covered by Formica. The Formica finish turned out really nicely, it's clean and durable and most important of all, quick to apply!
I highly recommend using this stuff instead of painting. You'll save so much time, money, and you'll have a cleaner more even surface.  A full sheet of Formica costs $60 at Home Depot,  (i can't remember the dimensions but it's about the same amount of a sheet of MDF, if not more) and can fully cover about 10 of these sticks.

The guy I made it for grew up playing on old North American cabinets and prefers the feel of the non-japanese style buttons and joys.
The parts are Happs concave pushbuttons, iL Eurostick with oval-top, interfaced by Toodles' Axisdapter the PS3 wireless controller PCB. I got a USB panel mount (Male Mini-B to Female Type-A) from USBFirewire.com and connected it to the PCB for external USB access to the PS3.

I put a thick piece of Lexan on the bottom, and mounted rubber casters to it. Here's a shot of the wiring too, it could be cleaner, but it doesn't look too bad as is.

This is the first of 3 sticks I'm building, the other two are going to be dual-stick enabled (wired joystick triggers to buttons presses), for games like Robotron, Mutant Storm, etc...
I'll throw up progress pictures of those ones as I get to 'em.

It's recessed. It's hard to tell, my pictures are a bit dark. I put black vinyl on the bottom so it looks a bit cleaner. I got  lazy and didn't bother covering all the undersides, in hindsight I should have used the Formica on the underside because it really makes it look a lot more pro.

Nice job.  Where do you buy the white terminal strip thing?  I couldn't find it in my Home Depot...

You can buy them at Radio Shack... but if I recall, RandyT has them on his site for cheaper.  I usually buy in bulk on eBay (I use them for my controller hacks).
