"the power supply is dead" means so many things. Did you take readings at the transformer. Those transformers almost never die.

Well, since this quote is the first time you mention restoration, I think you answered my questions despite your unorthodox emots. Any pics of the cab?

Do you have a multimeter of some sort? If you plan on getting anywhere with this bad boy, you're gonna need to be able to read some voltages.
