Solved, but have another question...WG 4600 voltage question on XY board

Have this 4600 with vertical collapse that I am struggling with.  Capped it and am trying to check voltage accoring to the schematic, but they are all out of wack.  The 2 comming from the primary board should be 30V and 15V.  I am getting 32V and 26V respectively.  Will this cause the VC? Are those readings within spec?  Help before this Red Alert gets a trip to the resting place of other games...The Dump.

Also needed to ask about resistors on the top and bottom of the XY board.  Are they supposed to be like that or has someone hacked it and added the extra on the bottom?

There is a resistor with a white ceramic sleeve over it due to the heat it generates on that board. Temporarily unsolder one end of that resistor and resolder all the solder joints that resistor obscured. Now resolder that resistor back in place.

If you still have vertical collapse then automatically replace BOTH of the heat sink mounted transistors TR306 (type 2SC1625) and TR305 (type 2SA490).

These boards are often sold on ebay cheap.

Thank you Ken for the response.  I will do that right now.  If it doesn't work, I will get the two transistors and replace them.  Bob Roberts has a board for $25 if I cannot get this one fixed.  I am just trying to learn on this machine, as I know it has no value...except to me as a learning experience.  Thanks for your help.

Finally got around to this monitor.  It turned out to be a bad TR 306 (Thanks Ken for the direction).  I also had to put a jumper across R351 on the bottom.  My Pitfighter had a jumper where the Red Alert had another resistor on the solder side so I put a jumper there, too.  Now the game looks awesome (for a Red Alert) but I have a problem with the board I got from Bob.  It will not stop rolling when in the monitor.  I have 3 XY boards now and two work, but the other one does not.  I contacted him and he said it tested good on his jig.  The monitor is mounted longwise up and down and the roll is side to side.  I have tried to adjust the pot, v-hold and both sizes with no change.  Solder joints have been reflowed and all caps replaced except C359 and C311.  Could these two caps cause a good test on the jig and give problems in the monitor?  Or is there someting I should be looking for?
