I know this was asked by someone, but I can't find it

Shieldwolf:
If I have a working marvel vs capcom 2 complete and I want to keep it to play games like snk and other newer arcade games is it possible to setup a mame computer and switch between the two? I know anything is possible, but is it realistic? If so how would you do it?

www.ultimarc.com  You'll probalbly want a J-PAC and an arcade VGA, but I'm not really up on this.

see tiger-heli's post... did you mean switch between them instantly or be able to swap manually from pcb to MAME and back again.

If you meant instantly (without going into the back of the cabinet each time) you'd need to do some research on multi-jamma kits/projects.

Shieldwolf:
Well I just found a really great marvel vs capcom 2 game in mint condition really cheap. I want to still build a cabinet but don't have room for both so I wanted to find out if i could put mame in my capcom 2 cabinet and switch on the fly. I wasn't even sure if it was possible. I will do some research, but I thought if anyone knew I if i could do it before I got too excited.
IIOIOOIOO:
If you want to open it to switch, just wire all of your stuff up to a standard harness, then you can swap the edge connector between the real game and the JPAC.

Otherwise, you're kind of out of luck, unless you want to drop $200 on a nice electronic JAMMA switcher, or make one out of a printer-selector box.
