Is It Too Much?

Shieldwolf:
This could probably go under my first post about things you would change, but I wanted to be sure everyone saw it.

I keep reading and thinking of games I want to play and I keep adding buttons. I'm afraid it's getting ridiculous!

Here is a breakdown:

Player 1
one joystick
7 buttons (for actual games)
1 button for player one start
1 button for player one credit

Player 2
one joystick
7 buttons (for actual games)
1 button for player 2 start
1 button for player 2 credit

Player 3
one joystick
6 buttons (for actual games)
1 button for player 3 start
1 button for player 3 credit

Player 4
one joystick
6 buttons (for actual games)
1 button for player 4 start
1 button for player 4 credit

1 Trackball
2 buttons on right side of track ball
2 buttons on left side of track ball

Additional
1joystick for older 4 way only games (pacman and qbert)
2 buttons
1 spinner
4 buttons for Mame Menu options (game start, exit, pause and options)

Finally
2 buttons one on either side of control case/box  for pinball games
1 in front for pinball

Now I am sure I could add more buttons and I know it sounds funny, but is there anything else I'm missing? I don't want or need extra joysticks for games like tron and smash tv. I dont' want a yoke. Did I miss anything?

AlanS17:
Did you want a wheel for driving games? Personally, I don't think you need 6 buttons for 3rd and 4th player.
Shieldwolf:
No wheel and I agree about player 3 and 4 except that alot of people suggested I put it in for other emulation be it console or other

You might need them in other emus, but not mame.

Good point. That's something I hadn't thought of. I'm just gonna hook up 2 USB joypads anytime I wanna play 4-player games since my control panel won't be large enough.
