What parts should I order to mount a trackball?
« on: June 10, 2003, 09:27:36 am »
I am going to get the Wico/Suzo 2 1/4" trackball. It does not come with a mounting plate or bolts. I am going to order what I need from http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/parts.html#tbs

It looks like the mounting plate I need is the Atari TB 2

Are you using 3/4 MDF or a metal CP? If you are using an orignal metal CP, you don't need the  mounting hardware.

I'll be using 3/4" wood of some kind. Is MDF the most popular type for all-wood CPs? I'm not going to use any plexi or any of that stuff.

Yes it is... it's very smooth, and great for painting (or laminating, or vinlying)... plywood's ok too, but I'd think you'd only go that route if (a. it was handy  or b. you got cabinet grade plywood and stained it )

that's just a quick outline.
