I recently acquired a Taito cabinet that was converted to a 1943 Battle of Midway.  It was not working and the conversion had not been done well.  I am going to use the cabinet for a MAME machine and there is a post in the Project Announcement section if anyone is interested.

Is there a way to tell what the game was originally by the machine serial number?  The number that is on the machine's manufacturer plaque as well as inside on the power supply and monitor is 151229.

After removing the grey laminate it revealed a Taito green cabinet, but no further information.  Any help would be appreciated.
