Dreamcast owners and Fire Pro-D wrestling
« on: July 07, 2008, 11:45:08 am »
any of you guy's out there still playing it  :dunno ?

and if so, how does it hold up today?

I am a fan of the old Tecmo WWF Wrestling games from 89 and 91

looking at getting this for the DC, I want to play as old school WWF wrestlers  :notworthy:

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Fire Pro D is second only to Fire Pro Returns on PS2. If you're looking to get one, Returns on PS2 is only $10 at Walmart.

That said, FPD is still an awesome game, but Returns expands upon everything D did right.

cool, I'll look for a used copy, I could play it on my ps3 , I wonder if I could import 'custom' wrestlers like the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan from a memory card to my ps3

I really want to get classic WWF wrestlers and play as those guys :)

btw, at walmarts website, its $14.99  :dunno :(

Well, it's $9.82 in-store, or you could get a used copy off Amazon for $6.95
LINK: Fire Pro Returns on Amazon

as for wrestler packs, check the Fire Pro Returns saves section at www.GameFAQs.com

I think I am going to pick up a copy tonite on my way home, however after doing some research, it appears it is not that easy/straight forward to import the gamesave FAQ with the hundreds of WWF/WWE wrestlers on it to the ps3  :'(, which is really the whole reason why I want to do this  :banghead:

Well, I have found an adaptor for $15, but I wonder if there is a way to do it for free  >:D

okay, I ended up getting Firepro D wrestling for the DC, any fellow DC owners that have this game would be soo kind as to tell me how to get Classic Wrestlers like Ultimate Warrior, Mucho Man, Jake The Snake, et all on to my dreamcast. I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff  :-[

I need this in 'layman' terms please  :notworthy:

There are VMU utils that let you burn a disc with saves and copy them to your VMU, though I've never tried them, so I can't offer any help.

just a quick update :p, I gave up on the DC version, the japanese text and other things, mainly wasting time on it was frustrating, so I got the PS2 version, playing it on ps3, and importing old school wrestlers is as easy as pie , it works perfect on the 60GB ps3, I'm loving it
