Wingun driver / Mame configuration
« on: July 16, 2007, 08:48:44 pm »
I just picked up a guncon2, and put the wingun .82b driver on my winXP system in the cabinet. I've also updated to mame .116b. I see .117b is out now.

I've tweaked some gun game X and Y analog sensitivities, and am getting very mixed results. Vs. Duck Hunt seems to work the best, but Zombie Raid is very jittery. Generally it just seems that the cursor won't hold steady / track consistently.

Any thoughts on things I can change? Thanks.

Tonight I installed Smog's driver. It didn't function at all for some reason. My gun never showed up in the configuration panel.

Would I have better luck with Mame Analog Plus? I've never tried that one but have seen it referenced a few times.

Did you ever get wingun working? I couldn't get the trigger to work but like wingun way more than the gun2con smogs driver.
