Mine walk when not tightened down very tightly. Here's the thread about the wing nut screw replacement:

i tightened mine with a screwdriver, ever so slightly, and now they don't move once positioned, but are still slack enough to easily switch by hand

i decided to just add questions here instead of starting a new thread with the same name, hope you dont mind, brax. :)
is anyone using the j-stick a big fighting gamer? if so, how does the different throws in straight and diagonal directions affect fireball/hurricane kick motions? i was playing alpha3 today and my competitions were really being a b**** about it, either that or i just suck... :P i'm either getting these or happs super but i want something that can be versatile in all types of games, but mainly fighters and airplane shooters (both of which are big in japan, thus my decision with j-sticks). i would buy a happs super and a j-stick to compare but i already got a few ultimates and competition laying around and i dont wanna bother with comparing and then ordering more.

hi mc...
I do play sf games often.... and maybe I can tell you how I feel about the j-stick... (pure personal opinon...)
now.... when you say... you use competition to play sfa3 and it b****.... I consider its bad ?? right ??...
is it because you are doing circular motion for the fireball and somehow the joystick get caught in the corner ??....
I myself have NO pblm playing SF with competition....
but if you don't like that corner feel.... then I don't think you'll like the j-stick's corner feel.... cos its even more corner... (you'll need some more time to get used to...)
I mean... after a few days of playing.... I'm able to do my uppercut and fireball and stuffs... (now I can pull it off as well as competition...)
but in terms of smooth circle... I have to say Super has the smooth circle.... you'll have no pblm pulling the fireball...
However, when I use Super to play sf, I can't block well.... cos when I pull to diagonal, sometimes, I don't pull it exactly, and Super register as down... instead of down back... and my @ss got kicked....
The j-stick... if you go to the 4 main direction... U, D, L, R... the throw distance is short.... I think I should say... compare to the diagonals.... the throw distance is shorter... (I can feel the difference right away...)
for competition.... you can feel the corner... but the throw is more or less the same....
for super.... no difference whatsoever....
but I have to say... when J-stick is switched to 4way...
it ROCKS for ms pacman and all those 4 way games....
also, I like the ball top very much....
my final decision is that my mame cab (which is still uncut wood for now...) will have a fighter panel as main panel... and I'll use competition... but I'll have 1 more panel which will hold trigger sticks... and spinner (DOT !!! yeah !!)... and also J-sticks.....
hope this helps....

hyiu, thx for the long reply!! now i'm even more undecided about which joystick to get...i dont know whats up with the competitions i'm using. just cant seem to pull off the moves sometimes. and since i dont play enough 4ways to actually need one just for it, i dont want to buy a single j-stick just to try it out. i guess i'll just try to break in the comp. and see what happens. thx!
