Korean Joysticks
« on: December 23, 2007, 07:56:12 am »
The Korean joysticks do not use the spring only rubber ring. Smillar how Wico.

They have very smooth movement - very comfortable. They are good to fighter but they are not suitable to shmups and platform (long throw), 8way mode only:( Unfortunately they are not precise, centre to center unequatly.

manufacturers:
CROWN
Crown Joystcik are worse qualitatively from Sanwa or iL but better from Chinese  :laugh2: - copies differ, small mistakes in constructions, you can buy 4 and every will act differently (different strength of rubber ring), crapy microswitches... :blah:

If you will buy Korean joystcik on DECO microswitches - alter microswitches! DECO is crap. I recommend Omron V series They on omron act a lot better!

CLW302 - nicely executed, it acts similarly how JLW (J-stick) - korean copy, this only korean model which has not rubber ring. Full spring Action. I do not command him he has not no advantages in playing. JLW is better. Produce is stoped! (white crow)

  • rotation = square
  • throw = angle - 11 degree; travel - 13mm
  • engage = angle - 7 degree; travel - 8mm
  • diagonal = range 20 degree; hitting 80%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,44kG

CLW303 - similar to Fanta, very soft, my disastrous diagonals, it was it been possible to improve - bend lever microswitches.

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 8 degree; travel - 9mm
  • diagonal = range 20 degree; hitting 66%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,17kG

CLW304 - joystick on leaf switches. I think that this CRAP! :P

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 6 degree; travel - 7mm
  • diagonal = range 30 degree; hitting 80%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,22kG

CLW305 - very soft, very good diagonals, this very nice Crown model.

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 7 degree; travel - 8mm
  • diagonal = range 45 degree; hitting 90%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,175kG

CLW305 +Spring Action - for me this the best Crown model. I command him, it acts how hybrid Fanta and Competion. Good for KOF, Tekken. :notworthy:

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 7 degree; travel - 8mm
  • diagonal = range 30 degree; hitting 80%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,2kG

CLW306 - NEW Crown model, Quality of realization very good! This looks beautifully. It acts to CLW305 similarly (but I still will CLW305).

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 12 degree; travel - 12mm
  • engage = angle - 8 degree; travel - 8mm
  • diagonal = range 30 degree; hitting 80%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,275kG

manufacturers:
MyoungShin

Myoungshin
Fanta (low stiffness) - Fanta clone, the most often used in korea. Nice feel and realization. BUY:) Alter microswitches on Omron. Joystick acts on them magnificently!

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 9 degree; travel - 10mm
  • diagonal = range 25 degree; hitting 75%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,22kG

Fanta (medium stiffnes) - Fanta clone, used in Saulabi. Fatal feel and realization, NOT BUY! battop is from rubber, bad centres to center, very slow joystick. CRAP!

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 9 degree; travel - 10mm
  • diagonal = range 25 degree; hitting 75%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,37kG

manufacturers:
TaeYoung
TaeYoung
Fanta - original "Fanta". Japanes & Korean played on this joystick on SBO. It is very hard 0,5kG! Quality of realization very good - pretty and durable! Unfortunately when I played I lost diagonal during executing QCF:( Therefore that it is hard... Microswitches - GERSUNG very good!

  • rotation = circle
  • throw = angle - 13 degree; travel - 14mm
  • engage = angle - 9 degree; travel - 10mm
  • diagonal = range 30 degree; hitting 80%
  • force to engage = force to engage = 0,5kG

I apologize for my English. MOD/Admin can edit & improve sentences ^---^

Interesting sticks... The spot below the stick base and the dust washer -is that stationary?
Can you drill a hole in 3/4 or 5/8" MDF and bottom mount that or does that part need to be exposed?

Thank you. I kind of like the way that pokes through the hole like that.
