Pinballs offered, should I bite ? UPDATE: Williams Getaway, The Project begins..
Level42:
Sigh....
Sometimes you have those days.....
First I was spray painting the Centipede CP....bought a new can as the previous was empty, turns out this one sprays a lot more paint at once....so I get "drops" in the paint because of too thick layer (just 3 of them, but this means more sanding and painting..... :( )
Then I got a helper foolish enough to try move the Getaway up two stairs. Well, we didn't reach half the first stair. The weight was not the biggest problem, but we noticed that we could never make the turn in the stairs with the top-box on.
So I figured to take a look how much connectors would need to be disconnected to get the top-box of. Too many for my taste....
So I thought to look under the playfield, and to my dismay I found an entire loom loose in there. Turned out this was all the wiring going to the front of the pin, like the credit interface, coin door, test buttons, flipper buttons etc. Well loose connectors are not the worst thing, but there was also cut wiring to the ball release, plunger coil and some more wires.....
Guess it's all fixable, just a lot of extra work...
and my wife's really not happy about the pin still in the living room :S
ChadTower:
That is definitely a bunch more work. Look at it this way - even if it takes 20 hours, you're still coming out ahead.
Level42:
Yeah, I realise that :)
Level42:
I know it's a long shot, but does anybody own a Getaway here ?
Pictures of the inner front side would be very helpful in reconnecting all wiring that was loose when I got it.
Thanks...
ChadTower:
Clubninja used to, I think... not sure if he still has it.
