The usual wear spots on a Xenon are pretty tight on yours.  Good machine.  I'm probably going to find one of those blown out playfield Xenons so I can drop next year's CPR repro in it.

Yeah, it seems like the average joe who wants a pinball doesn't seem to care about playfield wear.  I'm asking a little more for it because i feel it's in really good shape compared to nearly all other Xenons i've seen, but the average person doesn't appreciate that.  I've been keeping an eye on those playfield repros.  Hopefully they get done soon.  That should resurrect many Xenons with horrible playfields back into action.

I've got a guy coming over tonight to look at the machine, so wish me luck!

Finally got the Xenon sold.  What a nightmare...i had 3 guys come over last week.  Every one saying "they want it for sure" and on their way out saying "just let me make sure it's ok with the wife and i'll pick it up this weekend".  Everyone one backs out saying their wives won't let them have it.  I felt like telling these people to grow a set.  Anyways, finally sold it to a guy.  Now I have a slot open for another pinball game.  I'm excited to be able to look for pins again.  I'll probably wait til after christmas, when prices drop again.  I didn't realize how big of a headache it can be selling games.

Those guys need to learn to check with their wives before they go look at it... though, more often than not, the guy just changes his mind and blames it on the wife.  No balls there either.

Yeah, i'm sure they did just blame it on their wives, but it makes them sound so cowardly when they say "my wife won't let me have it".  What's wrong with saying "it's not what i was looking for"?  The hardest part was that they said they want it.  Then i'd get someone else calling to look at, and I didn't know what to say.  Did I have a sale with the first person or not  :dunno  I just didn't want to make anyone mad, or sell something out from under someone's feet.

You need to learn that nothing is sold until money exchanges hands.  If a person wants the game held they leave a down payment.  Until then, let anyone see it who wants to see it, and if the second person buys it while the first person thinks, too damn bad.

No payment - not sold.  Period.  Hell I know guys who Paypal money over before they look at it to hold it.

Yeah, i think i did learn a lesson here.  I think next time, I will say "well, until money is exchanged, the item could still be sold to another buyer, and I will not hold the game."  I was being too nice to people by giving them days to come up with pick up arrangements, etc, etc.  On the other hand, i didn't want someone paying for it, then having it sit in my house for weeks either.  But yeah, next time i'm going to tell them I reserve the right to sell the game to someone else until money is exchanged.  A person's word just doesn't mean much anymore.
