Quick Lightgun Question in Mame118 |

Sorry for the late response it's been a busy weekend. I'm a little confused by your last post. Can you copy up the # CORE INPUT OPTIONS and # CORE INPUT AUTOMATIC ENABLE OPTIONS sections of your mame.ini. I'm assuming you pulled your cfg files from mame 111 to 118. Have your tried deleting the cfg file for a game and starting fresh? Are your guns getting different mouse ids after you reboot? I was running into that for a while until I got them on a dedicated card. |

Thanks for the reply again Brock. I do a clean install in a different folder whenever i update my Cabinet. Once I make sure all works as it should i copy stuff over, so no old config files getting in the way. here's the sections of mame.ini: # CORE INPUT OPTIONS # ctrlr mouse 0 joystick 0 lightgun 1 multikeyboard 0 multimouse 0 steadykey 0 offscreen_reload 0 joystick_map auto joystick_deadzone 0.3 joystick_saturation 0.85 # # CORE INPUT AUTOMATIC ENABLE OPTIONS # paddle_device keyboard adstick_device keyboard pedal_device keyboard dial_device keyboard trackball_device keyboard lightgun_device lightgun positional_device keyboard mouse_device It just seems to be a problem of mame thinking one gun is both gun 1 and gun 2. not just gun 1 as it should be. thanks |
Cananas:
Set: multimouse 1 offscreen_reload 1 lightgun_device lightgun You can set lightgun 1, but once you set lightgun_device lightgun, the value of lightgun is always overide and set to 1. Also, the new input code seems much more sensitive than the previous one when you are remapping. If you try to remap and get Gun2X Gun2Y, exit mame and open the <rom>.cfg file and edit it. |

Ok I thought i'd tried that but I'll go right now and give it a go. thanks |

Same things as before. mame is seeing each gun as two guns. : p1 button 1 = gun2 bo lightgun x analog = gun 1x, gun 2x for some reason it see's the 'x' or 'y' as gun 2 & gun 1 for p1 Now on player 2 it does this: p2 button 1 = gun3 bo p2 lightgun x analog = gun 1x, gun 3 x I've also tried going into the game .ini and changing the settings manually so it only has 1 gun but still same results durring game. :banghead: |
