Thats crazy.....

Not long ago I saw a Microsoft Dual Strike Sidewinder gamepad went for $72 (not including shipping).   Link is no longer available on Ebay now however....

I can understand those control panels going high, as they are for high dollar games.

Imagine you sell games for a living and you have a customer ready to plunk down $1000 on a Tron or Spy Hunter. It is either buy your panel at any price, or wait, lose the customer, and possibly sit on the game for a year or two.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

If I was restoring a Tron, I'd pay that much.  We're all thinking from the standpoint of someone who would strip these panels of their parts for a MAME cabinet...
