All sorts of questions.
JesterDEV:
First off let me say hi to everyone, its been a long time since I've been here. :)
Anyway, over the past year I have been seriously enjoyed my cab. Just recently the motherboard blew out, and I need to get a new one.. But in the mean time I am going to throw my laptop in there. The problem is that I need a ac/power cord for it so I cant test it at the moment, and I wanted to know if a tv that supports s-video will work with my laptop that supports composite mode. If not I'll need to order a port replicator with s-video...
Another thing that has been bothering me for a while now is my crappy paint job. There are like 4 maybe 5 layers of paint on this cab, 2 of which are from me. Is there any easy way to remove all that paint? I would really like a nice smooth surface.
Also there's a large gouge on the right side which is getting on my nerves. I cant really sand it down because its so deep that I'll end up with a dent. I thought about plaster, but then the paint might soke in.. ???

What about wood filler.... ?

Well, I know that there are inexpensive cables that will convert an S-video signal to composite, but I think that going the other way around requires considerably more expensive equipment. Post the question in the monitor forum and you'll probably get a far more complete answer.

Radio $hack has a converter that goes both directions.
it doesn't say it on the website but if you look at the package it will convert both ways. here is the link
