Very smooth. It responds much like an arcade trackball connected via an Opti-PAC or mouse hack in Windows. I don't have my yoke mounted on a control panel yet, but just playing Star Wars with the base of the yoke held between my knees works great. I can't wait to get it installed in a CP.

You are correct, its for a tank gunnery simulator.
Well, based on what you two have said, it must be accurate. Now I just have to get a Dual Strike pad from ebay.

Hey wolfman, the most popular way to hook them up is via USB microsofts dual strike controller hack...

If I use the dual strike controller hack connected to the pc via the USB port can it be used in both dos and windows mame ?.
Brax:
Well.......... a DOS USB driver is going to be a bit of a problem I think. I seem to remember something about getting USB to work in DOS but I wouldn't count on it.
Windows will be a breeze, DOS may be be a major headache.

I second brax's opinion... you'll get no love out of DOS with the sidewinder dual strike without writing your own custom driver using a DOS derivative that's out there somewhere....
If you HAVE to have windows and dos interopability using a SW yoke, the gameport hack is probably a better solution for you.
*shrug*
