T-Molding in Canada?

One last question (for now):

How deep should I route the sides for the t-molding?  I bought a 1/16" slot cutter, that will cut 1/2" deep.  Is that too shallow/deep for the t-molding?

I cut most of my MDF this weekend and am anxious to try out the new router, but don't want to mess anything up at this stage.  I can always exchange a part at the hardware store if I need to change the depth.

Thanks!

Where did you get the bit (And the router???)  I still need to buy most of the power tools I'll need when I get around to buying the 5/8 black melamine at home depot near Starburst (they have it in stock as well as Rowe Lansing on cawthra/dundas, $38 for 4x8')

I have no experience with these tools and would never know where to look for the bit...

My turn. Where did you get a 1/16" slot cutting bit?

Picked it up at Atlas Hardware - downtown Toronto on Queen Street.  Not too far from where I work.  It took them a while to figure out what I wanted and find it - but were finally able to put it together.  Cost something like CDN $25 or $30.

Ah, forget my previous question.

Atlas....where on Queen is that?  Is it near east of Spadina?  I know a hardware store but I don't know the name.   That would be convenient for me!

See my previous post for where I purchased the bit.  I bought the router at HD.  Regular $319 for a Porter Cable 1/2" shank, fixed base/plunger, etc, etc for $265.  They had another older model that was on sale from $319 to $250.  Since they were out of stock the sales guy gave me a special price on the newer model.  Great deal, couldn't pass it up!
