Happ Miniature Momentary Contact pushbuttons question
«
on:
April 11, 2007, 11:04:08 pm »
Anyone know anything about
these
? Specifically the square and rectangular ones. It looks like the threaded portion is 0.35", so I'm thinking this will fit a 1/4" thick CP but not 1/2" (unless I route out some clearance). Can anyone confirm that? Also what kind of nut is used to secure them (metal or plastic)? Any info appreciated.
Thanks.

From the looks of the diagrams on Happ's site I would say you have the correct answer already. My guess would be is that the nut is metal because it is too thin to be plastic. If you want to use several of these cut out a larger hole in the CP. Then mount the buttons on a piece of metal plate larger than the hole your cut. Then route out the CP so you can mount the plate flush.

Thanks Kaytrim. That's what I figured, just needed to hear it I guess. Think I'm going to do something similar to what you suggest.
Polaris, I am indeed Welsh, though living in the US of A.
