So Mala will not start mame.exe or you cannot get Mala.exe to start? What is the exact error message?
If you are saying that the Mala.exe is in the c:\mame folder, that would not be ideal.

It says that it can't find the .EXE file although I have it located in C:Mame. What am I missing? Is there a special command line of Mame that I need to use with Mame v. 0.58 other than v113? I just need a little help here and then once I get into Mala I can figure out everything else. Cheers!

OK when words fail bring on a screenshot ;) Please post a screenshot of config-mameconfig-basics
Also as the MaLa website says "MaLa supports the Windows command line version of MAME with XML ROM info (> 0.84), " But your can make it work for earlier versions. I use mame .79. To do so you need to obtain a XML file form mame 0.84 or above. If this is too hard for you PM me your e-mail adress and I will send you one

OK, so here's what's happening. I have my mame v.058 exe. in C:\mame/mame32. I ran Mala on my XP machine running mame v106 and it worked perfectly. Maybe I'm running too old of a mame version (.058) but once again it works well with my slowwwwwwww pc at the moment. Anyway, when I try to direct the mame exe. in Mala to my C:\mame/mame32 folder I get the message below (see pic).
Loadman you stated I can get a XML file form from you. That would be great cause I have no idea how to go about doing that :dizzy: Also, can you give me some direction on how I install the new XML file? Cheers!

Don't use mame32 with any FE..
Anyway I take it you mean: C:\mame\mame32
Use Command line mame
You didn't send me a e-mail to send a XML file to?
The XML file sits in your mame folder
