Mala Question?

urbecrisch:
So do I rename my mame32exe to mame.exe?  Like I said, I followed the same steps with XP and it worked out fine.  Anyway, I'll wait for your email and give it a try.  All I do is put the XML file in my mame folder, or do I have to put the file directory somewhere in Mala?

Dude, No offence but you need to do some reading or this post is going to be very very long.  ;)

Start with the Wiki : http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Contents#Software_for_your_cabinet

No  ;) you need to download 'command line mame' from http://www.mame.net/oldmame.html
mame32 is great for newbies and on a stand alone pc but it can sometimes cause problems when run from a FE

Use the XML file I sent you when you want to use mame version (.058) as .58 won't be able to generate one itself

urbecrisch:
I'll update once I try the XML file and DL the command line.  Thanks.

urbecrisch:

Could you please send the XML file again I never saw it come through. Thanks.

It is 2.8 meg.  It may have been rejected. Have you got a e-mail that can handle that?

Or you could download say mame .89 and create one yourself? download it and Point MaLa to mame89 and get mala to create the xml file. Then change it back to mame58
