Screen changing during game (NBA Jam)
« on: February 15, 2007, 11:16:27 pm »
Need some help:

2 player 6 button control panel using default IPAC config
No changes to the Mame config either
Using Mala as the front end

Playing NBA Jam TE in 1 player mode (uses P1 Joystick in 8 way mode and buttons 1,2, and 3)
In a flurry of button presses and joystick movements the screen will change its size to about 2/3 of the normal screen size and put in in the lower left side of the monitor.  Further along the screen will flip upside down (still being 2/3rds the size)

If I exit to Mala, Mala will be that size as well, which leads me to believe its a Mala problem, not MAME.
Exiting Mala to Windows and all is well again, so its not Windows.

Anybody with any ideas??

It could be windows: ATi, nVidia, or Intel driver "change resolution" hotkeys, especially since it only happens with player 1 (assuming you're using the keyboard default ctrl & alt keys).  Check and see if your video driver has any hotkeys enabled.
