Seeburg SCD1 rebuild to mp3 (hdd based) or PC based Jukeboks
« on: January 20, 2007, 11:10:54 am »

Dear forum

I have a Seeburg SCD1 1986 CD based Jukebox - I am so close to to have repaired it - that I can all most "taste it".  Besides one damn littel plastic arm, that grabs/ hold the CD. it works, Amplifier, loudspeaker - you name it, it works. But how do I get a plasticarm for a 20 years jukebox in Denmark?

I have seen a conversion kit that removes the Sony CD player and substitutes it with at hdd, but in the US the price is approx. 350 USD, thus sending it to Denmark (tax & freight) - it sounds more like 500 USD. - could it be done cheaper ?

Any one know of conversion kits available in Europe?

Any one who have experience in building in an IPAQ pocketpc or similar

Any one know, if a "multi cd player - like pioneer or similar - can be build in.

Any suggestions are very welcome

Best Regards
